Landon’s Bike!

September 29, 2009

As most of you know, Landon turned 3 years old on the 23rd of September. For the last few weeks we have been searching for a bike for his birthday. We wanted one without pedals or training wheels.  It was very difficult to find one like this, it is called a “learner bike.” The idea behind this, is that the child becomes very good at steering and balancing and has a natural transition from the “learner bike” to the real deal bike and never uses training wheels. I guess we will see. We finally found one in our price range and bought it last night. It was the last store that we knew to go to and I prayed “Lord please help us find one at this store for a decent price, please!”. God answered my prayers! Landon was with us, and was so excited. When we got back to the Wynn’s house (the people we are staying with), Landon kept telling our friends, “This is my bike!” He was so cute. This morning when he woke up the first thing he said was “Where is my bike?” He got all excited again when I brought it out, and did his “muscle face” and danced and danced around his bike and just went absolutely nuts!! This afternoon Brad took him out behind the house and he rode and rode and is starting to get the hang of it! We are so excited for him to experience the joy of riding a bike!

Yeah, I am so glad you found it. Where was it. It looks like the perfect size for him. Great pictures.

LJ, this is great! I’m sure you will not get into as much trouble as Opa did……….riding my bike where I was told not to go. Oh, the freedom of a bike. Still riding: OPA By the way, where is your helmet?
